THE SUPPLY PLAZA
The Plaza de Abastos in Caldas is a work of great architectural quality that maintains well defined the original elements of the 1929 project, the work of the architect Juan Argente Navaja, which was a donation from the Caldense immigrant in Argentina Juan Fuentes Echevarría, where he was known as “The king of corn.”
It is a strategic and fundamental space for the revitalization of local commerce and the municipality’s economy. It is open from Monday to Saturday and stands out for the varieties of fresh fish and seafood, meats, vegetables, flowers and fruits.

The fair market and local commerce:
Every Monday it is celebrated on Real Street, Fermín García Díaz and Campo da Torre (ancient Via XIX and Camino Portuguese)
There are also more than 100 small retail businesses distributed throughout the town along the main streets, especially on Calle Real, which is the true commercial and historical heart of the town.
